*MUTH 1093 is a remedial course taken in the first semester of study if not exempted by exam. Credit for this course does not count towards the major requirements.

**Required only if piano proficiency cannot be met upon entering the program by passing the proficiency exam.

***All candidates for the BFA in Music Performance must present public recitals during their junior year (MUJR 3000 ) and senior year (MUSR 4000 ). The junior recital will be a half recital of 25 minutes of music and the senior recital will be a full recital of 50 minutes of music. Music Performance majors are strongly encouraged to present their junior recitals as a joint recital with another student who is also presenting a half recital.
