THEA 3443 - Playwriting II
Prerequisites: THEA 3403
Playwriting II picks up where Playwriting I left off and expands on the exploration of the art and craft of dramatic writing, once again focusing on process. To be investigated are: strategies for creativity, character development, generation of stories, intentional use of language, theatricality/spectacle, empathy and metaphor, plus analysis and revision. All work is geared toward the completion of a full-length stage play (55 - 90 minutes long). Spring, odd years.
