THEA 2103 - Acting III


Prerequisites: THEA 2023 .
This course is a continuation of the study of creating dramatic characters from text through monologues and scene study, focusing primarily on the analysis, interpretation, and performance of classical drama. The goal of this course is to begin the intellectual, physical, emotional, and ritual understanding of what personalization is and how it applies to the text of a play and eventually transition the information into an intensive formal scene study focusing on contemporary American playwrights. This class will also further expound on the acting technique of Konstantin Stanislavski and introduce students to the Sanford Meisner technique of acting. Fall.
