Prerequisites: PHYS 2103  and PHYS 2101 , or PHYS 2213  and PHYS 2211 . 
Theory of instrument operation, procedure for instrument operation and theory of the experimental design. Experiments selected from modern physics and optics. Laboratory one hour. Fall, alternate years.
