NURS 3093 - Techniques of Health Assessment Prerequisites: Junior standing and admission to the Nursing program. Knowledge and skills necessary to conduct a comprehensive health assessment for individuals across the life span are presented, including history taking, review of systems, and physical examination techniques. Emphasis is placed on integrating theoretical knowledge with psychomotor assessment skills to equip students for entry level practice (3 credit hours are divided into 2.5 credit hours lecture and 0.5 credit hours clinical learning experiences, which is a 1:3 ratio, or 1.5 clinical contact hours/week).
