ENGR 3013 - Thermodynamics


Prerequisites: MATH 1545 .
This course is an introduction to thermodynamics. The course emphasis is on thermodynamic concepts and their applications to solving engineering problems. Course topics will include basic thermodynamic concepts, general energy analysis, properties of pure substances, the first law of thermodynamics, energy analysis of closed systems, mass and energy analysis of control volumes, the second law of thermodynamics, entropy, the Rankine cycle, and Brayton cycles. Fall.
