E ED 4373 - Assessment-Driven Literacy Instruction Prerequisites: Conditional or unconditional admission to the Educator Preparation Program. This course focuses on critical issues of literacy acquisition, assessment, and instruction. Special attention will be given to the science of teaching reading and effective concepts, theories, methods, research, and evidence-based practices, including materials, strategies, and organization to meet the needs of all learners. This course will require candidates to learn and practice strategies and techniques through authentic and interactive field experiences.
