E ED 3073 - Methods of Teaching Mathematics


Prerequisites: Conditional or unconditional admission to the Educator Preparation Program.
This course is designed to prepare candidates to teach mathematics with an enhanced focus in STEM. Candidates will study the development of concepts and procedures in these content areas: early number concepts and number sense, operations, fractions, measurement, geometric thinking, probability, algebraic reasoning and use this background to create, teach, and reflect on lessons from these content areas as they incorporate them into science, technology, and engineering.
