University Studies Core (6 Hours)

• USTD 3003 - Information Literacy
• 3 hours of Foreign Language² 

Primary Area of Concentration (30 Hours)

• 15 hours of 3000/4000 level courses in the primary concentration*
• 15 hours of courses in the primary concentration 

*The 15 hours of 3000/4000 level courses in the primary concentration must be taken in residence. 

Second Area of Concentration (12 Hours)

• 12 hours of courses in the second concentration** 

Third Area of Concentration (12 Hours)

• 12 hours of courses in the third concentration**

**9 hours between the second and third areas of concentration must be taken in residence.

Electives (23 Hours)

• 23 hours of electives courses in any area to complete 120 total hours***

***Some of the electives may need to be 3000/4000 level courses to complete the required 40 junior/senior hours.

Notes

1. The student must complete a total of 120 hours, with 40 upper-division hours.
2. Three (3) hours foreign language. This requirement will not be met by completing a foreign language course to fulfill the fine arts/foreign language General Education requirement.  (ASL 1002/1012 American Sign Language may not be used.)
3. No courses may be double counted.
4. Each area of concentraiton must be different and chosen from the following:
   • Business
   • Education
   • Humanities
   • Natural Science
   • Social Science 
5. Students must maintain a 2.00 grade point average.
