MATH 1023 - College Algebra Prerequisites: ACT math subscore of 22 or higher; high school Algebra II or a grade of C or higher in MATH 0703 required for students with an ACT score of 18 or below. A study of quadratic equations and inequalities, additional graphs of functions and relations, systems of linear equations, inverse functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, polynomial and rational functions. MATH 0021 may be required as a corequisite lab based on ACT score and/or high school GPA, using criteria for college readiness based on SAU’s Multiple Measures Placement Plan, or an ACT score of 19-21, or other placement with permission of the director of Transitional Studies. Students can enroll in an online section of this course only if the corequisite lab is not required based on ACT scores and/or high school GPA. Fall, spring.
