Prerequisites: Grade of C or higher in CHEM 1013 and CHEM 1011 or CHEM 1023 and CHEM 1021, and grade of C or higher in BIOL 1043 and BIOL 1041 or BIOL 1203 and BIOL 1201. Corequisites: BIOL 3611. An introduction to microorganisms and the infectious diseases they cause. Topics include microbial metabolism, morphology, genetics, pathogenesis of the major human systems, and immunology Lecture three hours. Fall, spring, summer.
