COUN 6533 - Advanced Counseling Skills
Prerequisites: COUN 6403 , COUN 6413 , COUN 6423 , COUN 6433 , and COUN 6443 .
This course bridges scientific research and counseling practice by focusing on developing relationally-oriented, evidence-informed counseling professionals who have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide ethical and competent counseling to individuals, groups, and families in various settings. Guided by ethical standards for counseling practices based on rigorous research methodologies, this course teaches participants how to use scientific research to integrate common therapeutic factors and evidence-based counseling treatments. Spring.
