USTD 3003 - Information Literacy Students will learn processes of locating, organizing, using, producing, and distributing information in print, electronic, and other formats in a wide variety of academic disciplines in the humanities, behavioral, and social sciences, including history, criminal justice, theater, philosophy, etc. Students will learn how information resources and collections are designed and delivered, as well as effective research strategies for the conducting research, and how to access information in a variety of print and electronic formats including databases, digital libraries, and the Internet. Students will learn how to evaluate resources for quality, including how to select and use information to accomplish a specific purpose while considering the economic, legal, ethical, and social issues relating to the use of information.
