PLSC 4043 - Plant Breeding

Prerequisites: PLSC 2002  and PLSC 2001 .
Provide a broad overview of the science of plant breeding including new developments in molecular biology. This course will focus on the genetic improvement of crops by hybridization and selection as well as special breeding methods and techniques applicable to naturally self-pollinated, cross-pollinated, and asexually reproduced plants. Spring, odd years.
