PH 4023 - Health Care and Public Health Policy
Prerequisites: PH 2003 .
Introduction to health care services, including the characteristics and structure of the U.S. health care system and its comparison to other health systems. Key topics include examination of public health policy, laws, ethics, and economics; knowledge of key elements of the health care industry pertaining to medical care and public health; understanding of the interrelated roles of industry; and challenges facing state and national health care systems.
