CHEM 3243 - Introduction to Toxicology
Prerequisites: Grade of C or higher in BIOL 1213 , BIOL 1211 , CHEM 3003 , and CHEM 3001 .
An introduction to the field of toxicology with an emphasis on the classification of toxic agents, the characteristics of exposure, mechanisms of toxins, and the adverse effects of toxins. Methods and regulatory aspects for conducting toxicity studies will be reviewed. Lecture three hours. Same as BIOL 3243 . Fall, even years.
