COUN 6583 - Counseling Children and Adolescents


Prerequisites: COUN 6403 , COUN 6413 , and COUN 6433 
This course is designed to provide students with an overview of counseling children and adolescents, including historical perspectives, the need for age-specific services, developmental issues, current research, special issues in counseling children and adolescents with special needs, etc. Ethical and legal issues specific to working with children and adolescents will be discussed. Students will compare different theoretical approaches to working with children and adolescents. Spring, summer
