HIST 4083 - History of Arkansas

A survey of the state’s history from pre-Columbian times to the present. The course will examine the critical developments which both encouraged and hindered the integration of Arkansas into the nation. Attention will be paid to the persistent political, economic, and social conditions as well as the role of significant figures who challenged the status quo. Fall, spring, summer.
